The British Council Women in STEM Scholarships 2026–27 are now open for applications. This fully funded UK Master’s program supports talented women from eligible countries who want to pursue advanced education in science and technology but face financial or social barriers.
The initiative aims to increase female representation in scientific careers and strengthen women’s leadership in research and innovation worldwide.
For the 2026–27 intake, the program will offer up to 90 scholarships across about 30 countries and territories at selected UK universities.
The program funds a one-year Master’s degree in the United Kingdom at partner universities specialising in science and research. It targets women from underrepresented or disadvantaged backgrounds who can contribute to development in their home country after graduation.
The scholarship program has already partnered with more than 40 UK universities and awarded around 500 scholarships since launch.
